“Another year is ending, but something is pending”― Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
I’m not really one for New Year resolutions, so I’m reluctant to call my new blogging adventure a resolution, it’s more a case of Bookstagram made me do it to be honest. Back in August, while recovering from wisdom teeth surgery I started MindforBooks on Instagram and discovered the wonder of the Bookstagram community.
Sharing my love of books through the medium of Bookstagram is definitely making me a bit braver and more open to wandering further into the vastness that is the online book community. So I decided that I would like my own little space to talk about my love of books, travel and other random ramblings, in fairness though, it will probably be mostly books.
So New Year and resolutions? The reason I don’t like to make them is because a lot of the time I find that they focus on deprivation or unrealistic expectations at a time of year that, let’s face it, is more than a little depressing. At this time of year I like to focus my energies on simple things, like getting through January and trying to figure out how I’m going to manage a full day without napping. I’m hoping that a blog will be something positive and won’t become a chore. As long as it’s fun I’ll keep it up.
